About
New York–based photographer working at the intersection of portrait, editorial, and creative photography. My work is rooted in curiosity about the world and the culture I come from, a Black, second-generation American kid from New York. Telling compelling stories is what I'm always working toward, and I'm drawn to collaborating with people who are just as curious and creative. Documenting Black life and culture is core to that; it's not incidental, it's the point.
What I keep coming back to is composition that does quiet work — leading lines, the small detail that reframes the whole frame, the moment someone forgets the camera is there. I move between digital and analog, between staged portraiture and street observation, because the story dictates the tool, not the other way around. I want you to be floored when you first look at the photograph, and then notice the small details that give it a second meaning, a closer look that changes how you see the first one. That's the kind of image I'm chasing: one that brings feelings to the surface and starts a conversation.
